Do you love the colors of a sunset in the spring? Walt Whitman described the colors of a sunset as “gold, maroon and violet, dazzling silver, emerald, fawn.”
We have a great spot – our patio bar – for sipping a drink and watching the sun set over Little Lagoon.
After the first day of spring on March 20, sunset takes place about 7 p.m. in Gulf Shores. That makes it a perfect time to listen to live music in the lounge, enjoy a cold drink and watch the colors splash across the sky.
Ask the bartender to mix a special sunset cocktail for the occasion. Maybe a Sicilian sunset with Prosecco white wine, orange juice, cranberry juice and lemon. Or a gin sunset with peach juice, gin and orange liqueur. How about a stormy sunset mixing lime juice, vermouth, grenadine and ginger beer? Or transform a tequila sunrise into a tequila sunset – just mix tequila with orange juice and soda water.
Come early or stay late to enjoy wonderful Nolan’s seafood, a popular Greek specialty or a beautifully cooked steak. We call it the perfect end to a perfect day at the beach.
