As the poet John Clare said, “The spring is coming by a many signs.”
On the Alabama Gulf Coast, it comes with spring break, along with a plethora of festivals and special events.
One of those is the 2017 Wharf Boat & Yacht Show on March 23 through 26, showcasing more than $90 million in boats that range from luxury yachts and sportfishing cruisers to pontoons and runabouts.
Are you into classic and vintage vehicles? The Bama Coast Cruise rolls into The Wharf on April 28 and 29. The event is free to the public and offers close-up views of more than 700 cars, including custom vehicles, antiques, street rods and hot rods.
Of course, one of the biggest events each year in Gulf Shores is the Hangout Music Festival. This year’s lineup for the three-day festival, held May 19-21 on the public beach at the end of Highway 59, features Mumford and Sons, Twenty One Pilots, Frank Ocean, Weezer and more.
When you are visiting our coast for these or other events, be sure to enjoy a night at Nolan’s Restaurant while here!
